Women in Christian Media to honor June Hunt

with “Excellence in Communication Award”

Dallas, Texas – Feb. 28, 2008 – June Hunt, founder of Hope for the Heart, will be the recipient of the fourth annual “Excellence in Communication Award,” to be presented on March 7, 2008, at the Excellence in Communication Awards Banquet at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee, which will conclude the 2008 Women in Christian Media’s Journey Revival Conference.

An author, singer, speaker, and counselor, Hunt is best known for her radio broadcasts Hope for the Heart and Hope in the Night. Along with her appearance at the awards banquet, Hunt will also be a keynote speaker at the Journey Revival Conference.

“I am excited to honor such a dear friend and partner in the gospel, June Hunt, with the ‘Excellence in Communication Award’ at our Women in Christian Media national conference,” said Suellen Roberts, president and founder of Women in Christian Media.

Women in Christian Media’s desire is to recognize outstanding achievements in the communication field by conferring its annual awards of merit for national achievement in Christian media. Previous recipients of the award include Kay Arthur, Janet Parshall, and Joni Eareckson Tada – all of whom will also be featured keynote speakers at this year’s Journey Revival Conference.

The conference will be co-located with the National Religious Broadcasters 2008 Convention and Exposition at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 6-7, 2008. The event is open to all female leaders, especially those professionals working in Christian media, as well as anyone interested in learning more about this growing industry group. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, and the conference will conclude at 9:30 p.m. the following day. Early bird registration at a discounted price is available until February 29.
