Jessie Laine Powell's jazzy, gospel music uplifts everyday people who are on the edge of daily circumstances. Once a secular performer, Jessie now captives her audience with compositions familiar and new, celebrating a life devoted to reaching the world for the cause of Christ. Also a gifted motivational speaker, Jessie hosts "PowerSessions", a monthly inspirational gathering of music and ministry, designed to uplift and renew worshippers AND the worship leaders. Jessie is currently working on her second album with Creative Soul Jazz, a Christian label in Nashville, TN. Produced by award-winning producer Eric Copeland, and featuring some of the finest players in Christian music today, this new CD marks the emergence of a new genre in Christian music: Gospel Jazz.
